One place I’ve been dreaming of visiting is Arima Onsen.

I’ve always loved hot springs, and now that I’m living in the Kansai area, I want to take the opportunity to explore as many of them as I can. There are so many beautiful onsen here, each with its own unique atmosphere and history, and I’d love to experience them one by one.
Among them, Arima Onsen is at the top of my list.
Known as one of Japan’s oldest and most famous hot spring towns, Arima has welcomed visitors for over a thousand years. It’s especially famous for its two different types of spring water: the rich, iron-filled Kinsen (Golden Spring), which has a warm reddish-brown color, and the clear Ginsen (Silver Spring), known for its refreshing and soothing qualities.
I also love the idea of wandering through the charming streets after a relaxing bath, enjoying the traditional scenery, trying local treats, and simply taking my time. It feels like the perfect place to slow down and enjoy a peaceful day.
While I’m in Kansai, I hope I can visit not only Arima Onsen but many other wonderful hot spring destinations as well. Japan has so many incredible onsen, and I’d love to discover as many as possible.
Have you ever been to Arima Onsen? If you have any recommendations for places to visit or foods to try there, I’d love to hear them. ♨️✨
